Description

This armchair was designed by the famous Irish designer Eileen Gray in 1927 for the villa E-1027 in Roquebrune, the construction of which she had planned with the architect Jean Badovici. 

The model presented here was produced in the 1980s by Ecart International. It is composed of a square section structure in black lacquered beech and chrome-plated brass elements. The seat is quilted and covered in black leather. The backrest is reclining.

It is a real collector's item which has a lovely patina of time. It can be placed in a living room, bedroom or even a reading corner.

This armchair is part of the collection of the Center Georges Pompidou in Paris.
