Reference:

Description

This armchair was designed in 1925 by Marcel Breuer, a famous Hungarian designer, then produced by Gavina in Italy in 1970 (label present under the seat, see photo). It is made up of a bent steel tube structure and strips of beige canva forming the seat, backrest, and armrests.

It is, for its time, revolutionary in terms of its design for the use of its materials, and its manufacturing methods. Indeed, Marcel Breuer was inspired by the manufacturing techniques of the industry of the time to have a unique design piece!

This armchair, Wassily or even named B3, is one of the iconic and essential pieces of Bauhaus design.
