These armchairs, model Diamond, are the structural masterpiece of the American designer Harry Bertoia for Knoll International 1952. It is composed of a structure entirely in chromed steel. The recessed diamond-shaped seats are composed of steel wires welded together, it welcomes a thin foam cushion covered by the original black Kvadrat fabric.
For this model, the designer has made a real study of space, of form and functionality. This collection called "wire" is one of the most famous achievements of twentieth-century design.
