This pair of tables, the iconic Volante model, was designed by French designer Pierre Guariche in the 1950s and produced by Steiner (label present under the top, see photo). It is composed of a tubular base in black lacquered metal and a black formica top. The edges and underside of the tops are made of solid teak.
The minimalist lines of the model will fit easily into all styles of decoration. These tables can be used as coffee tables in a living room but also as bedside tables on either side of a bed.
These tables are among the great classics of 20th century design and iconic creations of the designer.
