Description

This pair of mahogany nightstands is an iconic creation by French designer Jacques Hauville, produced by Roche Bobois in the 1950s. Perfectly illustrating the understated elegance and rigorous construction of post-war French design, these pieces combine functionality and aesthetics with understated refinement.

Each nightstand features a solid mahogany frame with clean lines, enhanced by a quadrangular base connected by a curved cross-shaped brace, typical of Hauville's work. The slightly protruding vertical legs frame a rectangular box with a drawer on the front. The turned wood handles emphasize the craftsmanship of the piece, while maintaining a formal simplicity.

The slightly recessed top is edged with small wooden stops, preventing objects from slipping, a common functional feature in Hauville's creations. The warm, deep shade of mahogany, enhanced by a satin varnish, gives these bedside tables a sophisticated and timeless look.

A beautiful set for your home.
