This storage unit was designed by Philippe Starck, then produced by XO in 1984, it bears the name "Theatre du monde", a model with a radical style from the 1980s: minimalist and geometric. Slender in shape, it is reminiscent of a skyscraper.
It consists of 3 independent blocks, a large low storage compartment resting on 4 wheels, a central element then a pyramidal element on top, all in black lacquered metal. Note, scratches from use and a lack of paint on the bottom block.
This piece will be a must-have to add to your collection of post-modernist works from the 1980s.
