Solid oak sculpture Cairn I – Galerie44 Collection

Cairn I is part of the Galerie44 Collection, a series of original creations imagined and handcrafted in our workshop. Entirely made by our cabinetmakers, each sculpture is crafted from carefully selected reclaimed wood, giving new life to materials rich in history and character.

Inspired by the silhouette of cairns—the stacked stone landmarks that symbolize guidance, balance and the journey—this sculpture explores the relationship between material, geometry and proportion. The different volumes appear to rest naturally upon one another, creating a sculptural composition that feels both harmonious and architectural.

Each element retains the marks of time, revealing the rich grain, patina and unique character of the reclaimed wood. The dialogue between clean geometric forms and aged material reflects the principles of twentieth-century design, where simplicity enhances the beauty of craftsmanship.

Conceived as a true sculptural object, Cairn I can be displayed on a pedestal, console, bookcase or sideboard, bringing a poetic and architectural presence to contemporary, minimalist or wabi-sabi interiors.
