Robert Dudley Best floor lamp model BL3 edition Gubi

This floor lamp was designed by Robert Dudley Best, a British designer, in 1930 and then reissued by Gubi in the 2000s, when the designer Gubi Olsen bought the patent. This floor lamp consists of a black lacquered metal base and lampshade and two chromed metal arms. The arm supporting the lampshade is swivel to 360° around the central arm and also adjustable in height.
In the 30s, this lamp is used in car workshops, its design inspired by the Bauhaus movement is considered too "simple" for the time. This lamp became famous when Winston Churchill used it as a desk lamp, the Bestlite lighting then illuminate Buckingham Palace, Orient-Express and Titanic.
