Solid oak sculpture Cairn II, Galerie44 Collection

Cairn II is part of the Galerie44 Collection, a series of original creations imagined and handcrafted in our workshop. Entirely shaped by our cabinetmakers, this sculpture is made from carefully selected reclaimed wood, chosen for its rich patina, distinctive grain and the history it carries.

Inspired by cairns—the stone landmarks that have guided travellers for centuries—Cairn II explores the concepts of verticality and balance through a composition of geometric volumes. The different forms appear to stack naturally, creating an architectural silhouette that is both powerful and minimalist.

The sculpting process enhances the raw beauty of the material while revealing the richness of the reclaimed wood. Each surface interacts differently with the light, highlighting the natural variations, irregularities and traces of time that make this work truly one of a kind.

Conceived as a contemporary sculpture, Cairn II engages in a natural dialogue with furniture and interior architecture. Displayed directly on the floor, it becomes a striking visual landmark, bringing rhythm, height and character to any space.
