Description

This planter, original in its form of diabolo, was designed by Willy Guhl, famous Swiss designer and then edited by Eternit in 1950 (Eternit embossed inside the planter, picture n°7). This planter is made of Eternit, a stable material with a fibrous texture composed of cement.

Willy Guhl and Eternit collaborate together to find new original forms and manufacturing techniques to exploit the potential of the material, the Diabolo model comes from a project by Anton Bee, a pupil of Willy Guhl at Kunstgewerbeschule, School of Applied Arts of Zurich, on the association of two cones.

Galerie44 presents also 3 other Diabolo of different sizes (picture n°8 and 9).
