Description

This desk and chair set was designed by the famous French cabinetmaker Andre Sornay in the 60s (stamp of the designer under the chair, picture n°10). The chair is composed of a tinted beech structure, a seat and a backrest filled with foam and covered by a yellow velvet fabric. The desk is composed of a tinted beech structure and panels lacquered in yellow, it has a drawer on the side.

These two pieces of furniture have the tigette system patented by the cabinetmaker.

Condition:
this product is in good vintage condition, it has a nice general patina. Note, a foot is very slightly arched (it does not affect stability)
Restoration:
varnishes and yellow lacquer were redone by our partner's cabinetmaker and lacquered, the fabric of the chair was changed by our upholsterer
